PhD Study Seeking Industry Partners
Based in London, England, UCL is recognized globally for its academic excellence, ranked #9 in the QS World University Rankings 2025. UCL consistently ranks among the top universities worldwide, surpassing institutions such as the California Institute of Technology, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of California, Berkeley.
My research is uniquely positioned at the intersection of two of UCL’s prestigious departments: The Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction (BSSC) and the Institute of Education (IOE). The Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment is ranked #1 globally in architecture and the built environment for the second consecutive year. It has maintained its position as the top institution in the United Kingdom for a decade. This provides an unparalleled foundation in construction and sustainability, essential for my study on offsite construction.
Simultaneously, I am affiliated with IOE, UCL’s Faculty of Education and Society, which is the #1 leading institution for education globally for the eleventh year running. My placement within the Department of Culture, Communication, and Media at IOE allows me to delve into educational methodologies and workplace learning theories. This dual affiliation is instrumental in my research, which examines vocational education and training within the rapidly evolving field of offsite construction. The combination of cutting-edge construction expertise from BSSC and advanced educational insights from IOE positions my research to bridge critical gaps in industry practice and workforce development.
